Pat Warren is a native Augustan and member of the Georgia Watercolor Society, South Carolina Watercolor Society, Artist Guild of Columbia County, Aiken Art Guild, and the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art. She has enjoyed being an Augusta Artist Row gallery co-owner since 2002 and is one of the founders of Gallery on the Row.
Her work has been shown at the Columbia County Library, Aiken Center for the Arts, Medical College of Georgia, and Sacred Heart Cultural Center. One of her favorite pastimes is participating in juried fine art shows and festivals throughout the south.
As a youth, her hours were spent with various art media and books. She began her formal art education at the University of South Carolina, with individual study as well as workshops with internationally renowned watercolor artists/authors, Frank Webb, Jan Kunz. A workshop scheduled this fall with the painter/author Don Andrews reflects her desire for continued artistic evolvement.
The play of color accompanied by interesting shape and dramatic contrast are seen often in her work. It is apparent in her choice of subjects that she has an appreciation for the gifts nature presents. She paints in oil, acrylic and watercolor.
